The Cat and the Canary
When an eccentric family meets in a millionaire uncle's remote Louisiana mansion on the 10th anniversary of his death for the reading of his will, murder and madness follow. That’s the plot of the 1939 horror comedy The Cat and the Canary starring Bob Hope and Paulette Goddard, a screening of which will cap this special gathering of murder-mystery fans.
Join us for a night of spooky, Halloween-week revelry! The festivities begin at 5:00 p.m. with a happy hour, followed by a murder mystery party (produced by The Murder Mystery Company) and then a screening of the film.
Tickets are $10, and preregistration is required. For questions, please contact 504-528-1944 x 484.
This program is funded in part by the Bob and Dolores Hope Foundation.
The special exhibit So Ready for Laughter: The Legacy of Bob Hope is on view in the Joe W. and Dorothy D. Brown Foundation Special Exhibit Gallery through February 10, 2019.
