June 6th will not only mark the 66th anniversary of D-Day, but also the Museum’s 10th anniversary. Join us for a full weekend of events designed to pay tribute to those who sacrificed to preserve freedom and celebrate how far we have come in honoring their legacy.

Home Front Days
Bring the kids for free hands-on family activities.

Living History Corps
Volunteer reenactors educate and engage in authentic WWII uniforms.

Large Artifacts Display
Get up close and personal with some of the Museum’s large artifacts, some not on regular public display.

PT Boat Tours
Check in with the PT-305 restoration crew working to get this historic craft back in fighting fit condition.

Special Exhibit
See a more personal side of D-Day with the special exhibit, Snapshots of D-Day: Photographs of the Normandy Invasion.

Beyond All Boundaries
See the Museum’s new 4-D experience, a journey through WWII complete with dazzling cinematic effects.

On-site Charter Membership Sales
Make a commitment to support The National World War II museum and receive free admission for a year, store discounts and more.

American Sector Food Booths
Select items from The American Sector menu will be available for purchase including some of the staples of American cuisine.

This emotional event will bring together WWII veterans and their families from across the country to salute all the man and women who served state-by-state.

Memorial Service
The Museum will pay tribute to all of those who gave the ultimate sacrifice and those who served but are no longer with us in a memorial ceremony.

Museum 10th Anniversary Celebration
An annual tradition! The Museum will serve birthday cake in honor of our 10th anniversary. A special appearance by the Victory Belles.

3:15 pm – 5:00 pm

Performance
The Crescent City Big Band closes out the day with a selection of patriotic music.
