Join us for a special program highlighting wartime correspondence from James Killion, Jr. While serving in the US Army, Killion wrote his parents in Alton, Illinois, about life in a segregated Army, about loneliness and about his hopes and dreams for postwar happiness with his wife and baby son, James Killion, III. Senior Curator and Director for Curatorial Affairs Kimberly Guise will discuss the collection and Killion’s service with James Killion, III and his family as the material is presented to The National WWII Museum’s archives.
