THEATER & AV SYSTEMS MANAGER

An exciting position is now available at the National WWII Museum as a result of the Museum’s expansion.  This individual will have experience in the construction and/or operation of multi-sensory venue with knowledge of show action equipment and controls technology.

Must have 3-5 years experience with multi-sensory theater technologies and in-depth knowledge of large venue video and audio systems.  Ability to research problems quickly and resolve issues with minimum supervision a plus along with the ability to work with others in a team-oriented environment.

INTERACTIVE MEDIA MANAGER

  • Hands on experience with Web 2.0 technologies.
  • Experience designing interactive websites and micro-sites; strong graphic design background preferred.
  • Background in web technologies including HTML, PHP, XML, ASP, Flash, JavaScript.

A Bachelor’s degree in a Technology or Graphic Design field, or 5+ years experience in leading a web development team. Exhibited experience with content management systems (e.g. Convio) and web-based applications including database driven applications. History of working with application service providers and hosted solutions.

MUSEUM STORE INTERNET SALES COORDINATOR

Full time position responsible for processing all external Museum Store retail purchases with emphasis on internet and telephone orders as well as perform as in-house sales clerk.  Must have demonstrated competence in computer technology of automated sales and inventory systems along with Internet capabilities.  Experience in Internet sales and marketing required.  Must be willing to work some nights and weekends.

GRANTS WRITER
Responsible for overall direction and coordination of all government grant-related activities for The National WWII Museum in fundraising, Board of Trustee and Capital Campaign events. Must prepare proposals and other documents necessary to secure the support of foundations, corporations and other government entities.  Bachelor degree required along with formal training in technical writing.  English and/or communications Occasional travel required.

SALES MANAGER
Organized sales manager to work in an exciting fast-paced environment selling ticket and entertainment packages to individual, group and corporate clients or the Museum’s new venues.  Must be able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and meet deadlines and sales goals.  Successful sales experience, along with excellent computer, oral and written communications skills essential.  Previous management experience a must.  Bachelor’s degree required, along with a minimum of three years experience in hotel/event sales preferred.

ENGINEER, 2nd CLASS
Valid City of New Orleans 2nd class Operating Engineers license required.  Two years direct experience in plant operations preferred.  Must have good working knowledge of all trades (electrical, HVAC, plumbing etc.)  Controls experience highly preferred.

CUSTODIAN
Perform routine custodial tasks according to established maintenance schedules to include special assigned duties for floor care and general cleaning.  A minimum of one year experience in custodial, housekeeping, food service or other related work required and must possess knowledge of detailed cleaning within  facility.  Must have willingness to work any shift to include weekend assignments.
