e-Communications Coordinator This position will work with the Director of Patriots Circle and Membership and the Vice President and COO to develop an online communications channel to augment The National World War II Museum’s direct mail membership program. The e-Communications Coordinator will be responsible for managing the Museum’s online Honor Roll of Charter Members, assisting in communications strategy development, email campaign creation, and online community and grassroots outreach efforts. Responsibilities will also include managing the organization’s relationships with other online community influencers, including reaching out to external blogs and online communities to promote the Museum.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience in writing fundraising and advocacy email and for websites as well as an understanding of blogging and social networking as part of an overall strategic e-communications strategy.
- Experience with Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, the entire Microsoft Office Suite, Front Page, Flash and contact management systems are a plus.
- A Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of three years of experience in non-profit development with project management skills.
- Extensive knowledge of computer software for development (preferably in Raiser’s Edge) proficiency with database analysis and reporting.
- Excellent interpersonal, presentation, and written communication.
- Initiative, organizational skills and good judgment.
- Ability to work with others.
- Ability to work on multiple assignments under pressure and to consistently meet deadlines.
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule that goes beyond a 40 hour work week – including weekends, evenings and occasional travel throughout the U.S.
