The Museum features rotating exhibits that draw on its own collections, as well as relevant traveling exhibits from leading institutions around the world in both its Senator John Alario, Jr. Special Exhibition Hall and Joe W. and Dorothy D. Brown Foundation Special Exhibit Gallery. These exhibits highlight WWII-related subjects not covered in the Museum’s permanent exhibits, as well as more in-depth coverage of subjects that are in its permanent exhibits.
Our War Too: Women in Service
Our War Too: Women in Service, a groundbreaking special exhibit recognizing the efforts, struggles, and accomplishments of the nearly 350,000 American women who answered the call to serve their country during World War II, is on display in the Senator John Alario, Jr. Special Exhibition Hall through July 21, 2024. Our War Too explores the path forged by the pioneering servicewomen of World War II that is still being traveled by women in the American military today.
