Herbert Miller presents “Cracking the Enigma Cipher”
Code-breaking and cipher-breaking have been an enormous part of warfare for centuries. However, the art of deciphering encoded messages became even more important during World War II as Allied forces worked to crack encrypted German military messages. A follow-up to Miller’s April 17 Lunchbox Lecture about the Enigma machine itself, this talk will examine how the device’s secrets were revealed.
Lunchbox Lectures are free and open to the public. For more information, call 504-528-1944 x 484.
