Barry Simon presents “Missions of a Marauder Navigator”

Museum volunteer Barry Simon discusses the WWII experiences of his father, First Lieutenant Jacob Hirsh Simon, a bombardier/navigator with the 12th Army Air Force, 319th Bomb Group, 440th Squadron, flying missions over Italy and southern France. Jacob Simon flew a total of 43 missions between May, 1944, and December, 1944, on B-26 Marauder and B-25 Mitchell medium bombers.
