On the evening of December 9, The National WWII Museum officially dedicated its new Bollinger Canopy of Peace, made possible through a generous 2015 gift from longtime Museum Trustee Donald T. “Boysie” Bollinger and his wife Joy.

The Museum hosted a series of commemorative programs—both in New Orleans and online—paying tribute to veterans of all eras.

The American Spirit Awards is an awards gala celebrating individuals and organizations whose work reflects the values and spirit of those who served our country during the World War II years.

A recipient of the 2017 American Spirit Awards Silver Service Medallion recalls the WWII scrap drive that won him acclaim.
