Kathryn Smith presents "The Gatekeeper: Missy LeHand, FDR, and the Untold Story of the Partnership That Defined a Presidency"

Marguerite "Missy" LeHand was President Franklin Delano Roosevelt's private secretary and right-hand woman for 21 years. LeHand's biographer, Kathryn Smith, will give a first-person interpretation of LeHand’s life with FDR as the only woman in the White House history to function as Chief of Staff, and the events that led to her being the first person there to discover World War II had begun.
