Group Size:
Groups must consist of a minimum of 15 members upon arrival to the Museum.

Group Rate:
See table for details. Please note, ROTC groups will be charged as student groups. Complimentary admission is provided to bus drivers for all groups.
In the case of Elementary, Jr. High and High School student groups, one chaperone per ten students is required regardless of grade. The Museum will provide free admission to one chaperone per five students. Additional chaperones will be charged $10.00. Pre-visit educational material is provided to help prepare and orient students. The tour escort for all non-student groups will be provided complimentary admission.
Payment:
Payment is preferred on the day of the visit. Advance payment is also accepted. Payment can be in the form of organizational check, cash or credit card. There should be one person with responsibility for processing payment with Museum personnel at the ticket counter. The Museum does not provide direct billing or receive purchase orders for payment. Deposits are not required.
Scheduling a Group:
The group discount is only available to groups who schedule in advance of their visit. Please contact us as soon as possible to determine if the desired day and time is available. A minimum of two weeks is requested. Group admissions are staggered throughout the day, please be prepared to provide several options. Peak months for groups are March, April and May.
Cancellation Policy:
Please notify us as soon as possible to cancel an existing reservation. This will allow another group the opportunity to enjoy the Museum.
Parking:
The Museum provides an unloading/loading zone only for buses along Magazine Street. The bus driver will be issued a parking pass for complimentary parking 2 blocks down Magazine Street, under the I-10 overpass. buses are not recommended to unload/load on Higgins Blvd in front of the Museum because of safety hazards. Pay lots across the street and next to the Museum are also available for car parking.
Docent-Led Tours:
The Museum is designed to be a self-guided experience to allow for the desired time at each exhibit. There are a limited number of docent-led tours available for field trips. They are scheduled on a “first come first serve” basis and often require months of advanced planning. Please inquire at the time of scheduling if interested.
Additional Information:
While the Museum does not have a lunch or picnic area for groups, we are glad to make recommendations for restaurants or picnic areas within walking distance to the Museum. PJ's coffee shop is on site but is not large enough for groups to dine together.
The Museum does allow photography throughout the galleries without a flash, but videotaping is not permitted. Backpacks and luggage are also not permitted.
The screenings of the film D-Day Remembered are at 10:30, 12:30 and 2:30. The screenings of the film Price for Peace are at 9:30, 11:30, 1:30 and 3:30. Both films run 50 minutes long.
Early admission can also be arranged for large groups.

Groups of 40 or larger may request admission as early as 8:30 a.m. Groups of 80 or more may request admission as early as 8 am Early admissions provide access to the exhibit space.
