The National World War II Museum strives to preserve the legacy and lessons of World War II through the stories of those who experienced the war.

Museum Library
If you would like to submit your written World War II memoirs or story for our museum Library, mail to:
The National World War II Museum
945 Magazine Street
New Orleans, LA 70130
attn: Museum Library

Donated items may be rehoused and handled according to these accepted preservation guidelines. If the items were made during the WWII years, they are artifacts; if they were copied a number of years after the war, they are library items.

Important: Most scrapbooking techniques are destructive to the items being presented.  Library items may be re-bound for public consumption in the future, so assembling copies of documents and photos into expensive, bulky binding & matting might not be the best use of your time. Simple is best. Families and individuals might better serve their memories by scanning images and letters and incorporating them into a printed booklet; thus the items could be accessible and still protected.

You will receive a thank-you letter for your donation within 8 - 12 weeks of receipt.
