Thank You from 2012's National History Day Students

Thanks to your generous support, 47 students from Louisiana were able to compete in the National History Day Contest at the University of Maryland. The students were able to compete against students from all 50 states and several territories. Louisiana did not have a student place in the top three, but several came just short.

Our top finishers included Molly Shacklette of Shreveport for her exhibit Change Without Transition: The Khmer Rouge in Cambodia, Hadeel Kasji for her exhibit Disturbance in the Grand Mosque, and Zoe Zemmels for her documentary on the Americans with Disabilities Act.

We have compiled just a few thank you notes from these grateful students, as well as images from the awards ceremony at the University of Maryland Comcast Center.
