The Jeeps are being delivered to The National
World War II Museum |
Work
is in progress for the upcoming exhibit Everyone
Has a Jeep, including the transport
of three jeeps from Orlando, Florida, to The
National World War II Museum in New Orleans.
The exhibit will be the Museum’s largest
macro exhibit to date, though our
Capital Expansion plans include space
for more macro exhibits. The exhibit opens
May 1st, May Day or Labor Day in Europe, and
runs through September 6th, Labor Day in the
United States. The dates were chosen to commemorate
the workers on both sides of the Atlantic
whose labors made Allied victory possible.
The jeeps and dozens of other vintage military
vehicles will be parked outside for the June
5 - 6 60th Anniversary commemoration weekend.
Not only will they be on display, but we will
start them up in an engine run up demonstration
slated for 8:30 a.m. on Sunday, June 6.
