A hands-on history
lesson for your students
A way to connect your students to your community
A money-maker for your school
Support for The National WWII Museum’s education programs
Welcome
to The National WWII Museum’s Partner Schools site, an
innovative collaboration between America’s only national museum
dedicated to WWII and a growing alliance of schools committed to
improving their generation by honoring the Greatest Generation.
The Partner Schools program is a way to involve students across
the United States in hands-on learning about WWII, to establish
connections between schools doing WWII projects, and to support
the Museum’s educational programming. The Partner Schools
program encourages teachers, students, and school administrators
to join the Museum in celebrating the generation that won the
war while exploring and expressing the values that the “Greatest
Generation” carried with them into battle: Teamwork, Optimism,
Courage, and Sacrifice.
The National WWII Museum encourages schools to undertake
class-wide or school-wide projects that provide students with
in-depth WWII experiences beyond their usual classroom
experience. Through organizing and hosting WWII veterans’
appreciation events, Partner School students learn more about
themselves and their communities as they learn more about WWII.
And by choosing to support The National WWII Museum, students
become part of the vital national effort to keep the history and
lessons of WWII alive for the next generation.
