The National World War II Museum is a dynamic educational resource serving the needs of students from grade school through the post-graduate level. At the Museum students from all backgrounds explore the values and beliefs—the universal concepts—that Americans and their Allies embraced during World War II. Through Museum tours, workshops, special on-site and outreach programming, film and lecture series, and a summer leadership institute, young visitors experience the lessons of teamwork, optimism, courage, decision-making, and problem-solving that led to the Allied victory.

Employing an object-based learning experience, the Museum uses its rich collection of artifacts and archives to take history beyond the pages of textbooks and into the hands of curious students.

The National World War II Museum is a living museum. It honors the generation that won the war by enlightening today's generation about its own potential. The Museum is dedicated to the premise that these lessons are just as valuable today as they were fifty-five years ago.

Yours sincerely,

Kenneth Hoffman,

Director of Education
