The National World War II Museum's
Everyday Heroes
Certificate Program
The National World War II Museum honors the many heroes of
World War II by celebrating their deeds and the values
that they carried with them into the struggle. Whether
on the battlefield or on the Home Front, heroes were
in no short supply during the war. But you don't need
to have a war to have heroes. They come in all shapes
and sizes, in all ages - and from some surprising places.
- Who
is your role model?
- Who affects your life in a positive way?
- Whom do you know personally who makes the world a better
place?
You must be 18 years or younger to submit an Everyday Heroes application.
In an effort to encourage you to
seek positive role models in your own community and
show appreciation to those people who make a difference
in your life, The National World War II Museum invites you
to honor your Everyday Hero by submitting his or her
name to The National World War II Museum's Everyday Heroes
Certificate Program.
- Think about a person you know
who makes a difference in your life that you would
like to honor
- Proceed
to our online form, fill it our completely (make
sure you spend some time explaining why you are nominating
this person), and submit it.
- In two to four weeks the Museum
will mail your Everyday Hero a personalized certificate
that looks like the sample below, along with a letter
explaining the program. You will receive a letter
congratulating you on participating in the program.
