Building WWII history through research, technology, and sharing.

Welcome to The National WWII Museum’s WWII Student Podcast & Webpage Projects. These are two exciting new educational opportunities for students to explore WWII history in creative and interactive ways, and share their results with other students across the country.

For High School Students the goal is to research the WWII history of their own communities. They will explore their local libraries, archives, and newspapers, conduct oral histories, and even photograph locations. With this information students will then create a simple website highlighting their community’s contribution to our victory in WWII. These websites will be hosted on this site for all to see.

LAUNCH PROJECT

For Middle School Students the goal is to research one date in WWII history, write a creative script spotlighting the most interesting events from each year, and record it—complete with sound effects—into a 5-minute podcast. Students will then upload their podcasts to this page to for all to hear.
