NATIONAL D-DAY MUSEUM ANNOUNCES
AGREEMENT WITH PROMARE, INC. Non-profit marine exploration
corporation to share World War II findings with Museum
NEW ORLEANS - April 21, 2005 - The
National D-Day Museum is proud to announce its cooperative agreement
with ProMare, Inc. ProMare will serve as The National D-Day
Museum’s Underwater Archaeology Service Provider and will
share materials and information obtained from its World War
II projects.
ProMare Inc. is a non-profit corporation dedicated to marine
research in the deep ocean. Projects include the exploration
of shipwrecks, geo-chemical processes on the ocean floor, and
studies of biological diversity in the deep sea.
On Friday, April 29th at12:00pm.The National D-Day Museum will
host a presentation by Brett Phaneuf of ProMare, Inc., who will
discuss previous ProMare projects. Sam Wegner, Vice President
& Chief Operating Officer of The National D-Day Museum,
will discuss future sites that the Museum and ProMare plan to
survey in the next year. The presentation will last 30-45 minutes
and representatives of ProMare and the Museum will be available
to answer questions afterwards.
